A quick and easy no-bake dessert dip that combines creamy cheesecake, rich caramel, and fresh apples. Perfect for parties, potlucks, or a simple sweet treat.

Ingredients

Scale
  • 8 oz cream cheese, softened to room temperature
  • 1/2 cup caramel sauce, plus more for drizzling
  • 1/4 cup powdered sugar, sifted
  • 2 tablespoons brown sugar, packed
  • 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
  • 1/2 teaspoon ground cinnamon
  • A pinch of salt
  • For serving: apple slices (Honeycrisp, Fuji, or Granny Smith), graham crackers, pretzels, or vanilla wafers
  • For the optional caramel apple topping: 1 large apple, finely diced (about 1 cup)
  • 1 tablespoon butter
  • 1 tablespoon brown sugar
  • 1/4 teaspoon cinnamon

Instructions

  1. Soften the cream cheese: Take the 8 oz block of cream cheese out of the fridge about 30 minutes before starting. It needs to be at room temperature. If forgotten, microwave in 10-second bursts until soft but not melted.
  2. Beat the cream cheese: In a medium mixing bowl, beat the softened cream cheese with an electric mixer on medium speed until completely smooth and fluffy, about 2 minutes. Scrape down the sides of the bowl halfway through.
  3. Add the sugars and vanilla: Add the sifted powdered sugar, packed brown sugar, vanilla extract, and a pinch of salt. Beat on low speed at first, then increase to medium and beat for another 1-2 minutes until well combined and light and creamy.
  4. Mix in the cinnamon: Add the ground cinnamon and beat for about 15 seconds until evenly distributed. Taste and adjust cinnamon or salt if desired.
  5. Fold in the caramel sauce: Pour in the 1/2 cup of caramel sauce. Use a spatula to gently fold it into the cream cheese mixture, leaving beautiful ribbons of caramel. Do not overmix.
  6. Chill (optional but recommended): Cover the bowl and refrigerate for 30 minutes to allow flavors to meld and the dip to firm up slightly. Do not chill for more than a few hours.
  7. Make the optional caramel apple topping: In a small skillet over medium heat, melt 1 tablespoon of butter. Add the finely diced apple, 1 tablespoon of brown sugar, and 1/4 teaspoon of cinnamon. Cook for 3-4 minutes, stirring occasionally, until apples are tender and coated in a glossy syrup. Let cool slightly.
  8. Assemble and serve: Transfer the chilled dip to a serving bowl. Drizzle extra caramel sauce over the top in a zigzag pattern. Spoon the sautéed apples (if using) in the center. Sprinkle with a tiny pinch of flaky sea salt if desired. Serve immediately with apple slices, graham crackers, pretzels, or other dippers.

Notes

For best results, use full-fat cream cheese and a high-quality thick caramel sauce. Sift powdered sugar to avoid lumps. Fold caramel gently to keep swirls. For apple slices, toss with lemon juice to prevent browning. The dip can be made a day ahead; let sit at room temperature for 15 minutes before serving.
