Instructions

  1. Wash and halve the jalapeños lengthwise. Remove seeds and membranes if you want to tone down the heat. This takes about 5 minutes.
  2. In a mixing bowl, combine softened cream cheese, shredded cheddar, garlic powder, onion powder, smoked paprika, salt, and pepper. Mix until smooth and uniform, about 2 minutes.
  3. Spoon the cheese mixture evenly into each jalapeño half without overfilling to prevent oozing during cooking. This takes about 5 minutes.
  4. Wrap each stuffed jalapeño half with a strip of bacon, securing the ends underneath if possible. Thin bacon works best for quick crisping.
  5. Place the poppers in a single layer in the air fryer basket, avoiding overcrowding to allow proper hot air circulation.
  6. Cook at 390°F (200°C) for 7 to 10 minutes, flipping halfway through with tongs for even crispiness.
