A quick and easy dessert made by dumping canned peaches, yellow cake mix, and butter into a baking dish for a comforting, crowd-pleasing treat with minimal effort.

Ingredients

Scale
  • 1 can (29 oz / 822 g) sliced peaches in syrup or juice
  • 1 box (15.25 oz / 432 g) yellow cake mix
  • 1 cup (226 g) unsalted butter, sliced thin or melted

Instructions

  1. Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C).
  2. Drain the canned peaches slightly. Pour the peaches along with some syrup evenly into your 9×13 baking dish.
  3. Sprinkle the entire box of yellow cake mix evenly over the peaches. Do not mix or stir.
  4. Slice the butter into thin pats or melt it. Distribute the butter evenly over the top of the cake mix.
  5. Bake uncovered for 45-50 minutes until the top is golden brown and bubbling around the edges. Tent with foil if the top browns too fast.
  6. Let the cake cool for about 10-15 minutes before serving.

Notes

Drain peaches moderately to avoid sogginess; distribute butter evenly for consistent browning; tent with foil if top browns too quickly; serve warm with vanilla ice cream or whipped cream for best flavor.
