Crisp apple slices topped with a warm peanut butter drizzle, chocolate chips, nuts, coconut, and dried fruit. A quick, healthy snack that’s perfect for any occasion.

Ingredients

Scale
  • 2 large apples (Honeycrisp or Fuji recommended)
  • 1 tablespoon lemon juice (optional, to prevent browning)
  • ¼ cup creamy peanut butter
  • 12 tablespoons honey or maple syrup
  • 12 teaspoons coconut oil or milk (if needed)
  • 2 tablespoons dark chocolate chips
  • 2 tablespoons chopped nuts (walnuts, almonds, or pecans)
  • 1 tablespoon shredded coconut
  • 1 tablespoon raisins or dried cranberries
  • A pinch of sea salt

Instructions

  1. Wash and dry apples. If using lemon juice, mix 1 tablespoon lemon juice with 2 tablespoons water. Slice apples into thin rounds (about ¼-inch thick), remove seeds/core. Toss in lemon water if using, then pat dry.
  2. Arrange apple slices in a single layer on a serving platter, slightly overlapping in a circular pattern.
  3. In a small microwave-safe bowl, combine peanut butter and honey or maple syrup. Microwave for 15 seconds, stir. If too thick, add coconut oil or milk and microwave another 10 seconds until smooth and pourable.
  4. Drizzle the warm peanut butter mixture evenly over the apple slices using a back-and-forth motion.
  5. Sprinkle chocolate chips, chopped nuts, shredded coconut, and dried fruit over the top. Finish with a pinch of sea salt.
  6. Serve immediately while apples are crisp and drizzle is warm.

Notes

Best served immediately. Apples release moisture and toppings get soggy after about 30 minutes. For make-ahead, prep slices and drizzle separately, assemble just before serving. Toast nuts for extra flavor. Use a mix of apple varieties for color and taste contrast.
