A quick and easy peach cobbler recipe using Bisquick that comes together in just 35 minutes, perfect for beginners and busy evenings.

Ingredients

Scale
  • 2 cans (15 oz each) sliced peaches in syrup, drained (reserve syrup)
  • 1 ½ cups (190g) Bisquick mix
  • ¾ cup (150g) granulated sugar, divided (½ cup for filling, ¼ cup for topping)
  • ¾ cup (180ml) milk (whole or 2%)
  • ½ cup (115g) unsalted butter, melted
  • 1 teaspoon ground cinnamon
  • 1 teaspoon vanilla extract (optional)
  • ¼ teaspoon nutmeg (optional)

Instructions

  1. Preheat oven to 375°F (190°C).
  2. Melt ½ cup (115g) unsalted butter in a microwave-safe bowl for 45 seconds to 1 minute; set aside to cool slightly.
  3. In a medium bowl, combine drained peaches, ½ cup (100g) sugar, cinnamon, nutmeg (if using), and vanilla extract. Stir gently to coat. Add ¼ cup (60ml) reserved peach syrup for juicier filling if desired.
  4. In a large bowl, whisk together 1 ½ cups (190g) Bisquick and ¼ cup (50g) sugar. Add ¾ cup (180ml) milk and melted butter. Stir until just combined; do not overmix.
  5. Pour batter into a greased 9×13-inch baking dish. Spoon peach mixture evenly over batter without stirring.
  6. Bake for 30 to 35 minutes until crust is golden brown and peach filling is bubbly. Cover loosely with foil if top browns too quickly.
  7. Let cobbler rest for 10 minutes before serving to thicken the juices.

Notes

Do not overmix the batter to keep the crust tender. Use room temperature milk and butter for smoother batter. Drain peaches well to avoid soggy cobbler. Check oven starting at 30 minutes to prevent burning. Let cobbler rest before serving to thicken filling. Add extra tablespoon of milk if batter is too thick.
