Ingredients

Scale
  • 1 package (16 ounces) cocktail sausages (e.g., Hillshire Farm)
  • 4 ounces pepperoni slices (large slices)
  • 4–6 thin slices prosciutto (optional)
  • 8 ounces sharp cheddar cheese (block)
  • 6 ounces gouda cheese (or smoked gouda)
  • 1 small wheel (8 ounces) brie cheese
  • 4 ounces cream cheese, softened
  • 1 cup pretzel sticks (e.g., Rold Gold)
  • 1/4 cup almond slivers
  • 1 cup red grapes
  • 1/2 cup pitted black olives
  • Fresh rosemary sprigs (a few)
  • 2 cups crackers (mix of Triscuit and Ritz)
  • 1 small baguette, sliced thin and lightly toasted
  • 1/2 cup Greek yogurt
  • 2 tablespoons hot honey (e.g., Mike’s Hot Honey)
  • Salt, garlic powder, and black food coloring (for dip)

Instructions

  1. Prep the sausage ‘fingers’: Cut a small slit at one end of each cocktail sausage. Insert an almond sliver into the slit to look like a fingernail. Arrange on one side of the board in a fan shape.
  2. Arrange the cheese: Cut cheddar into cubes or use cookie cutters to make shapes. Place gouda in slices or wedges. Set the brie wheel in the center of the board. Spoon cream cheese into a small bowl and swirl with a knife to look like a spider web. Add a black olive ‘spider’ on top.
  3. Add the pepperoni and prosciutto: Fold pepperoni slices into quarters and arrange in a pile. Drape prosciutto in loose ribbons. Place near the sausage fingers.
  4. Place the crackers and bread: Arrange crackers and baguette slices in small clusters around the board, leaving space for garnishes.
  5. Add the spooky garnishes: Scatter pretzel sticks like bones. Cut grapes in half and place a tiny dot of cream cheese on each to make ‘eyeballs.’ Arrange black olives in small piles. Tuck rosemary sprigs between cheese and meats.
  6. Prepare the dip: Mix Greek yogurt with a pinch of salt and garlic powder. Add a drop of black food coloring and stir until pale gray. Pour into a small bowl and place on the board. Drizzle hot honey over the brie wheel.
  7. Final touches: Fill any empty gaps with extra crackers or grapes. Ensure colors are balanced. Serve immediately or let sit at room temperature for 10-15 minutes before serving.

Notes

For best flavor, let cheese come to room temperature for 30 minutes before serving. Prep sausage fingers and cheese shapes up to a day in advance. Do not overcrowd the board; leave space between items. Serve within 2 hours of assembly. Refrigerate leftovers promptly.
