A fun and easy Halloween charcuterie board featuring candy corn, cheese, meats, and crunchy snacks. Perfect for parties and gatherings, this no-cook recipe comes together in under 20 minutes.

Ingredients

Scale
  • 1 to 2 cups candy corn (preferably Brach’s)
  • 1 cup chocolate-covered pretzels (e.g., Snyder’s of Hanover)
  • 1 cup mini peanut butter cups (e.g., Reese’s)
  • 8 ounces sharp cheddar cheese, cubed (e.g., Cabot or Tillamook)
  • 1 small wheel brie cheese
  • 4 to 6 ounces thinly sliced salami or prosciutto (e.g., Genoa salami)
  • 1 cup mixed nuts (salted almonds or cashews)
  • 1 cup pretzel sticks
  • 1 cup ghost-shaped or bat-shaped crackers (or any fun-shaped cracker)
  • 1 apple, thinly sliced (tossed in lemon juice to prevent browning)
  • Black licorice strings (optional, for decoration)
  • Edible googly eyes (optional, for decoration)
  • Fresh rosemary sprigs (optional, for garnish)

Instructions

  1. Start with your largest items. Place the brie wheel near the center or slightly off to one side. Cube the sharp cheddar and arrange it in a small pile or line near the brie.
  2. Add the salami or prosciutto. Fold each slice into quarters or roll into little cylinders. Place them near the cheese.
  3. Fill in with the crunchy elements. Scatter the pretzel sticks, chocolate-covered pretzels, and ghost crackers around the board. Don’t arrange them too neatly.
  4. Add the candy corn. Pour it into a small bowl or pile it directly on the board. Create a little ‘candy corn river’ that winds through the other ingredients.
  5. Scatter the mini peanut butter cups and nuts. Tuck them into the gaps between the larger items.
  6. Add the apple slices. Arrange them in a fan shape or stack them near the brie.
  7. Garnish with spooky touches. If using, stick edible googly eyes on cheese cubes or brie. Arrange black licorice strings to look like spider webs. Add fresh rosemary sprigs for a creepy forest vibe.
  8. Step back and adjust. Look at your board from a few angles. Fill any bare spots with extra pretzels or nuts. Remove items if too crowded.

Notes

Serve brie at room temperature for best flavor. Keep candy corn in a small bowl to prevent stickiness. Prep ingredients ahead of time, but assemble the board no more than an hour before serving. For a gluten-free version, use gluten-free pretzels and crackers. For dairy-free, use vegan cheese.
